Dental caries a cyclical event with phases demineralization and remineralization addition being continuous unidirectional process the mineral. Cavitation results from an overbalance process. While increasing ion deposition into crystal gaps demineralized enamel achieve net mineral gain, it defined as supply calcium phosphate ions source external tooth surface. Despite fact many other therapies have been tried recent years treat early carious lesions, fluorides emerged most popular remineralizing agent due their superior cariostatic efficacy affordability. Alternative preparations additional benefits would be interest because currently available topical require patient participation several treatments over course year.
